Don't Eat For Detox

What you should not eat for detox, and why.

These are some food you should not eat during your body detoxification.

Sugar

This includes sugar, products containing sugar, and hidden forms of sugar, such as sucrose, dextrose, corn syrup, brown sugar, and turbinado sugar. Artificial sweeteners are usually not recommended. Stevia, honey and erythritol are allowed wholesome sweeteners.

Dairy Products

These dairy products include milk, butter, cream cheese, sour cream, and other dairy products.

Wheat

Wheat and products containing wheat like bread, some cereals, and pasta.

Gluten

These gluten products-should be avoided. All food items containing grains like wheat (including spelt, triticale (a hybrid between wheat and rye), and kamut), rye, and barley.

Coffee

Although most detox diets recommend avoiding coffee, both regular and decaffeinated, one cup a day is usually acceptable and may reduce the occurrence of caffeine withdrawal headaches.

Other foods to avoid include yeast, alcohol, food additives and preservatives, chocolate, and high-fat foods.

Toxic Foods

In summary eliminating the foods that are toxic when they are ingested will make a significant impact on detoxification. Alcohol, smoking, coffee, eating processed and refined foods and sugars, all play a role in creating toxins in your system. An easy way to reduce and remove toxins from your body (to detox your body) is to start a healthy diet and exercise program that includes healthy foods that naturally remove toxins from the body.

Repelling Chemicals

For many people, removing the chemicals that they use in their everyday life also has a significant impact when eliminating toxins from the body and environment. Cleaners and body products that contain chemicals come into contact with your skin. The skin is the largest organ in the body and absorbs much of the environmental chemicals that it comes in contact with. By removing chemicals from your environment, your skin can more successfully repel chemicals. Use these natural body products that contain no harmful chemicals.
